Unusual pairings in Oxford
The Oxford Wine company will be hosting an evening of alternative food and wine pairings as part of the Guilty Pleasures festival. The Côtes du Rhône Guilty Pleasures tasting event will take place on 30th October (6.45pm start) at Oxford Wine Company Shop, 6 Turl Street, Oxford, and guests will be treated to a selection of unusual food pairings along with a top flight of Côtes du Rhône wines.
The event will be hosted by certified Sommelier Matthew Whitaker who has had plenty of experience in pairing wines with Michelin star food in his previous role at The Nut Tree restaurant. You can now join him as he has some fun, experimenting with some alternative ideas! Tickets are£10 per person, payable in advance. Those taking part in the event will be offered a 15% discount on Côtes du Rhône wines purchased on the evening, and Oxford Wine stores will also be offering a 10% discount on any Côtes du Rhône wines throughout the month of October to celebrate the Guilty Pleasures festival.
